a vision for the new RISE space

We dream big y'all. For years RISE has dreamed of the possibilities that could come true if we had one, central location for all of the ministries of RISE and we think we have finally found that space at 60 West Market St. But it needs a little TLC (ok, so a lot of TLC...). So after acquiring much of the funding needed to begin renovations (shout out to the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church for believing in this project!!) and acquiring the blueprints and permits needed (another shoutout to the incredible Christopher Eeds of Blue Ridge Architects for his tireless effort above and beyond expectations as well as Rhodenizer CC for taking on the contracting) we can finally start the renovations!

We have big dreams for what this new space can become not only for the RISE community but for the Harrisonburg community and college students in the area. This space will provide an integrated hub for worship, mission, hospitality, and growing strong community bonds. Current on-going ministries at RISE that many of our college students are heavily involved with such as Love Packs and Rise and Shine will have a space to experience significant growth and influence. We will be able to expand our programming and gathering times throughout the week, both for large group and small group gatherings, without the need for always finding a location to host us. We can continue to forge new and creative partnerships with local businesses and organizations. We also have many dreams for future ministries that could be incubated within this location that we believe will advance the mission of making disciples of Jesus in our town of Harrisonburg. These are exciting times for this scrappy, growing movement of Jesus followers. The best is yet to come, y'all. Stick around for updates as progress continues.
