Sunday's Coming

Found this video about a month ago and it got me thinking. It evokes mixed emotions for me and raises some important questions, because as a worship leader, I believe that worship should be, to an extent, formulaic. There should be structure. But does an atmosphere of worship really need a light show and a fog machine? Should worship have a concert feel? Or is it just something that gets in the way? To me, worship is something that we bring. Something we give. Something that is certainly meant to evoke emotions and be an experience. It's supposed to be something that connects us on a deeper level with each other and with God. I just want to try to make sure that at no point does it become about me or whoever is performing. I want it to always always always be about God.

What do you think about this video? Is there a happy medium somewhere?
